Just another example of making the wrong thing difficult and the right thing easy. I think it was either Ray Hunt or one of the Dorrance brothers that coined that phrase.

Notice - The distractions (other horses, etc.) were not removed. West made himself more important (Attractive) and over shadowed the extraneous environments. Point being there is always going to be OTHER THINGS. He got the horse to be Attracted (relaxed & connected) to him. The phases are Attention, Attraction, Acceptance, Agreement, Attachment, Attunement. In other words, first things first.

I’m contemplating adopting. I’m starting two domestic fillies right now but don’t know if I’m skilled enough for a mustang. They were basically untouched when I bought them with the exception of the owner putting in halters. I have them both yielding, leading, picking up feet, and they’ve done fine with their first trims. We’ll soon begin with saddling, etc and they’ve done fine but to hear others tell it it’s not for just everyone. Smh, idk but I’d love to give it a whirl. I think I’d like my first try to be a yearling tho. Thoughts? Thx

Hey there, I really like your videos! I was wondering what you might know about the Angel trail that crosses the Dirty Devil from Hanksville to the Roost? I read in a book that Cap Brown took stolen horses across it but I don't know if that was just a legend or not?

west taylor yoru a fucking SHIT trainer, if you dont want the horse to be so jumpy then give the horse self confidence , help her to be confident in herself . you dont have her attention, you ahve her frrustration . their eyes dont tell you what their looking at what their attention is on, its the ears

Super footage. Lovely to see this. First rode Robbers Roost with A C Ekker in Sept '95. Returned again for a recce in 97 and rode from Mexico-Canada in 99. We met a treasure hunter in WY near Lander. Rumours are there might be some gold coins stashed. A few years ago in early 2000's historians located booty associated with the Black Jack Christian Gang. But the trail and branches are huge mileage... never say never.

the knots are placed on pressure points of the horses face (nerve clusters) so they hurt more and the horse is more sensitive/responsive to the feeling

He probably thought a big fly was bouncing on his hip! He looks great! He has an appy tail and look to him. Can't decide what to call that colour LOL. Kind of Snowflake appaloosa, kind of over-roaned red roan. Bit of white eye too= fpr the appy. Awesome colour. I just got an 8 year old mare a bit like him with much more white overcoat. Can't decide what she is either! I'm guessing she is a white on white snowflake appy. Her pink nose is adorable. His snip is adorable too 😍

This was an excellent video. I can get my horse to do this now when he isn't too stimulated but the moment he thinks the other horses are going ahead of him he pushes through the pressure - even when really getting loud with the lead rope. Any suggestions? He will also go to the side to try to get around / past you rather than leading nicely from behind.

You know how you can tell this is fake, right? All the while the dude is explaining how this horse has problems being caught, that horse is focused on the dude like a laser, giving him both eyes. I the horse world, we call that a clue - the horse is a ringer, a regular piece of cake, so the run-up about the horse being a problem he's gonna solve is BS.
